The windscreen wiper (10) consists of a wiper arm(16), with a generally elongated shape, formed with two parallel sides (26,28), between which is carried a transverse pin (38), which is designed to provide an anchorage for one end of the spring (30), which produces the cleaning force. The ends of the pin are designed to fit into orifices (48,54) formed in the side walls of the wiper arm. One of the orifices in the side walls, is prolonged to form a slot (54), which opens into the longitudinal edge (52) of one of the side walls (28). The pin is designed with enlarged diameters, to form radial shoulders (44), which locate against the internal faces of the side walls of the wiper arm. A reduced diameter is produced in the central section of the pin, to carry the hook end of the spring.
