The tool has a main bar(1) with a bearing(4) at one end for a pivoting guide bar(6) with two rails(7). A cutting slide(8) with one or more blades is guided between the rails. The stand(30) is mounted at the bearing end of the main bar, and a locking device(20) secures the guide bar in its cutting position and pressing against the panel. A hinging and lockable supporting bar(40) for the panel material is also mounted on the main bar. The guide-bar locking-device can be a post fixed to the main bar and over which a profiled component with clamping screw is slid. Top and bottom drillings in the component accommodate a locking pin on the guide-bar end, the pin and post being movable in relation to each other.
