Heat is radiated radially outward or with a tubular element towards interior or exterior. The tube can be wound with insulated (3) conducting wire (2), covered by insulation and a metal envelope (4), resistant to deformation. This envelope may be of copper or brass, forming a cylindrical contact surface. An external or internal steel tube (7) may enclose the heater. Alternatively, a heat insulator may surround the heater, opposite to the contact surface. Parts (10) of the contact surface (9) formed by sealing compound (5) may be arranged so that only part forms the contact surface, with air spacing for the remainder. This space may alternatively be filled with heat insulation. The conductor may be wound helically, close or spaced, with cable connections (8).
