Generation and control of vibrations for vibratory plant, e.g. for separating, crushing or compacting materials

The vibration generator is controlled by altering the relative position of two coaxial shafts (2,5), two plates (6,8) and an enclosure (7). The plates position sets of satellite gears (E) and toothed pinions (15). The pinions mesh directly or indirectly with gear wheels (3.1-5.1) fixed to the coaxial shafts. The coupling of these gears drives the satellites, and depending on the number and their positions generate a variety of vibrational forces. The displacement between the coaxial shafts can be altered manually by a handle (27) on the outside of the enclosure, altering the vibrational characteristics of the unit.
