Presentation of faceted uniformly-coloured objects on display screen

A graphics generator (1) outputs co-ordinates (X,Y) of points on the contour (4) of an object (5) and data (C) describing its colour. The address space of the contour memory (3) reflects the raster-scan structure of the image to be reproduced on a screen (2). The colour information is stored in a separate memory (14). The contour memory is read line-by-line and with the first contour pixel in each line the signal supplied to the image reproducer is set to a value read from the colour memory. With the second contour pixel in the same line, the signal is reset.
