The fence sections etc. consist of at least one transverse beam (2) with secured longitudinal slots (14). The fastener (1) is a two-part transverse beam, consisting of a fastening profile (3), at which the longitudinal slots are secured, and a cover profile (4) for fastener members (13). Pref. the basic cross-section of both profiles is U-shaped. The side walls (5,6) of the fastening profile contain at the end sections inwards pointing locking lugs (7a,b), while the side walls (8,9) of the cover profile have inwards angle and outwards pointing lock lugs (10a,b) at their ends.
