The wall unit, for a sauna cabin, has a base body (1) of plastics and pref acrylic, with at least one seat step (3) with an integrated rigid component (4), which at least partially forms the seating surface (6) or a step surface (5). The component (4) is of natural of synthetic stone, or fracture-resistant glass or glass ceramics. The wall unit has a laminated reinforcement of plastics with glass fibres.
