<p>The panel has a continuous strip of material made from a number of sections joined together by interlocking eyelets. The strip passes around rollers (1,5) inside a housing (M) when actuated by a drive roller (10) linked by a belt (14) and pulley to a motor (13). After passing the section of the housing where it is displayed, the continuous strip is returned to an inner magazine (2) in a series of broad folds in readiness for its next circuit. The folds rest on a row of rollers (11) in the base of the housing before passing over a free-running roller (1) with braking mechanisms (15). The housing is made from sections of lightweight metals or fibreglass, and it can contain lamps and reflectors to illuminate the messages on the continuous strip.</p> |
