The insertion part of the lock consists of a cylinder housing (1) with a stud (2) and comprises the closing and locking mechanism. The reception part consists of a hollow piston (3) that has areas formed to take the locking elements. The closing mechanism consists of a locking cylinder that stands coaxially to the stud within the cylinder housing. The opening for the key is on the opposite side to the stud. The locking element is formed by the closing mechanism and a coordinated ball operator. When the lock is open the balls (5) are pressed into the circumference of the stud. When the lock is shut the balls are moved outside of the circumference of the stud. The cylinder is form-fitted into a housing (6) from hardened steel. |
