A roller with flexion adjustment has a stationary carrier (3) and a casing (1) which rotates about the carrier and is supported by elements (2) forming zones (4, 4') activated by pressurised fluid fed individually through pipes (6) running together under different pressures through an axial machined hole (5) in the carrier. The partitions are set in the machined hole to divide it into the zones where for each there is a hole (10) in one of the feed pipes which are connected to feed conduits at the carrier end. The partitions through which the pipes run, are formed by discs (8, 8') set a fixed distance from each other along the axis and the space between the discs is filled by a pressure-tight moulding (9). Also claimed for the mfr. of the roller comprising manufacturing the partitions before their insertion in the machined hole and then compressing and radially expanding them by force applied by the tensioner (14) and transferred via the spacers (11).
