Weather protective hood for outdoor pillar-mounted equipment

A weather protective hood (20) for outdoor pillar-mounted monitoring regulating or power supply equipment has a modular construction comprising three main components. A hollow metal pillar (1) and baseplate (2) form a stable fixture for initial installation on site capable of accommodating an electric cable (not shown) and terminating in a plastic cap (7) fitted with a screwed cable bush (not shown). The pillar also provides an anchorage for a range of mounting plates (10) suitable for the equipment to be carried via the four threaded studs (3 to 6) which engage with the slotted flanges (11 to 14). The hood (20) is similarly attached to the plate (10) via the studs (21 to 24) which engage with the slotted flanges (15 to 18).
