The filter capsule (2) is to be up-ended onto a cleaning device (1) which is fitted releasably to a collecting container (10). The container is open above and the cleaner (1) is joined to the container base (14) via a support (12). A non-twist connecting plug (16) is releasably fitted at the support and the cleaner device is made of plastics with Shore hardness below 90. the device comes in the form of a hollow cylinder (8) fitted out with rim toothing (6) at the top end. Once the filter cover has been removed, the capsule and its filter contents are twisted round the container and gently eased over the hollow cleaning cylinder so the residue (4) is broken out by the toothing only to fall (4') into the container here acting as transit container to e.g. composting etc..
