A holder for hose, especially for fire hoses, wherein the holder is formed of a back wall (1), a front wall (2) and a peripheral jacket (3) which may have a rectangular, polygonal or circular form, and where the front wall (2) is equipped with a non-circular opening (8) through which the hose can be drawn out, where the smallest axis of the opening (8) differs substantially from the greatest axis thereof.
