The invention relates to a spreader (1) specifically for commercial fertilizer with a tank (3) mounted on a main frame (2) and with a first feed screw (4) being stationary but rotatably mounted in the area of the bottom (3a) of the tank (3) and being surrounded by a casing (5), for feeding one or several spreader means (13). According to the invention a fixed, outer casing (6) is extended alongside and parallel to the casing (5) of the first feed screw (4) with a connection (7) to the last-mentioned casing (5) for receiving the material conveyed therein. Within the outer casing (6) there is slidably received an inner casing (9) which is smaller in relation to the outer casing and which is guided against the inner surface of the outer casing (6) by means of a bottom plate (10) in which a second feed screw (8) is journalled stationary but rotatably. The inner casing (9) is provided with a connection to the space formed between the casings (6, 9) and is attached to a subframe (16) displaceably attached to the main frame (2), said subframe also carrying said spreader means (13) which is/are in communication with a material outlet (12) of the inner casing (9).
