Hydraulically actuated clamping carriage for linear motion guide rail

The clamping carriage (1) body (3) has integral, U-shaped base block (4) with two protruding side blocks (5,6). A pair of clamping jaws (9,10) are located at opposite inner sides (7,8) of the side blocks and are movable w.r.t. the carriage body. They are slidable towards each other by a hydraulic actuator (31-34) on the carriage body. The clamping jaws are integral with the carriage body and are coupled to the base block by a strap, forming a flexible weak point. This permits mutual approach of the jaw faces, when the jaws are engaged by the hydraulic pressure from the actuator.
