In a method for the continuous salting of curds the curds before salting are broken up into small pieces, which are spread out on a conveyor belt 12, which delivers the curds to a salt dispensing device 19. The broken up curds on the conveyor belt 12 are continuously weighed, following which salt is continuously dispensed in quantities as a function of the weighing results and the rate of feed of the conveyor belt 12. In a unit for performing the method the weighing of the broken curds is performed on a weighing device 15 with a weighbridge 14 linked to the conveyor belt 12, and the salt dispensing occurs in a salt dispensing device 19, which delivers quantities of salt by weight as a function of the weighing results and the rate of feed of the conveyor belt. |
