Step=in binding for snow=board

摘要

The snow-board binding has a single toe grip (8) and two sprung heel grips (8, 9) for each boot. The heel grips are hinged about axes parallel to the boot orientation and have ratchet grips (11) which engage grips on the sides of the heel. The grips are linked by a sprung element (17) which is pressed down by the heel causing the grips to swing inwards. The sprung element is pressed past a dead point and holds the heel until manually released. The release levers (13) are rigidly attached to the grips and are pressed down by hand to release the ratchets. The whole binding is on a swivel plate (9) which is fixed in the required orientation in the board and secured by a screw fastener (7).
