A mobile, enclosed plant growing apparatus (20) including a plumbing/irrigation system (60) and a method for using such. The plumbing/irrigation system (60) includes a modularized reservoir system, light tight piping, growing buckets (86), risers (74) and sprinklers (76). A liquid nutrient solution is pumped from the reservoir system, through the piping, into the buckets (86) through the risers (74), exiting from the sprinklers (76). The plant growing apparatus (20) is substantially environmentally isolated. The plant growing apparatus (20) may include a light tight enclosure (30) made of a tent-like material. Also, certain growth parameters may be electronically controlled so as to maximize the growth profiles of the plants. The parameters include levels of light, liquid solution, temperature, humidity and pH. |
