Manual activation of procedures at telecommunication terminal

The terminals (e.g. telephone sets) (FE) are connectable to one another or to a public exchange line (AL) via a switch matrix (KF) subject to a central installation controller (AST) incorporating a CPU, memory (SPE) and clock unit (TG). The choice of service is shown on, e.g. a multirow LCD (DL) and at defined times (e.g. at the user's request) the range of services is sorted according to frequency of selection. The sort is displayed so that when options need to be selected by keystrokes (e.g. WT,IT) from the keypad (Ta), the number of strokes incurred is minimised.
