Procedure for packing several cans

The containers (1) for packing are first of all turned round before entering the packing station (6) so that the containers are standing on their heads. The blank packing material (10) from the top is placed with its base wall section (11) on the front face of the container standing on its head. The side wall sections (12,13) are then folded under and the upper wall sections (14,15) rigidly connected on the underside of the arrangement. While folding under of the side walls is in progress, the respective gusset structure is folded in between the corresponding side wall sections and containers.
