Device for opening flip cap containers (6) where the flip cap (9) is opened by turning a lever (1). The lever (1) has a holding device for the flip cap (9). This holding device is preferably a hook (2) to engage a projection (10) provided at the flip cap (9). The invention also describes levers which can simultaneously open and/or close several flip cap containers.
