Demountable duckboard for e.g. construction sites

The board has a base support strip with a shaped grip for the end of each board (8), with the profiled grip comprising two uprights (2, 3) and a cross piece (4). The two uprights locate in slots in the ends of the board while the cross piece lies over the top of the board to form a twist free coupling. The uprights and cross piece can be formed by a simple hoop structure. The uprights of the hoop at backed by shaped extensions (5, 6) which fit into keyhole shaped slots in the ends of the boards. The profiled grips are secured on locating plates (1) which also support the weight of each board. No separate securing ties are required to complete the duckboard. The coupling for the board ends have a set amount of elasticity to provide a self locking grip.
