Assembly unit for IC engine

The assembly unit is formed from the cylinder head (2), the intermediate casing (3), the cylinder liner (4), the piston (5) and the connecting rod (6). All these components can be assembled beforehand and fitted to the IC engine as an assembly unit. The cylinder head is fitted to the intermediate casing by assembly screws. The cylinder liner has annular flange (7) wedging it against the cylinder head. The piston and the connecting rod can be fixed in a preset position in the cylinder liner by a holding device. This consists of a holding element for fitting to the bottom of the cylinder liner.
