Car body flat component coupling to extruded profile

The extruded profile (1) contains a shaped groove (6), extending across the longitudinal flange (4). The car body component (3) is edged in the rim section of the coupling and folded back in a U-shape to form a component edge flange (11). The two flanges abut each other and are linked together, at least in the edge rim section. The coupling is fitted with a longitudinal cover strip (12) with a U-section, open to the middle, as a clamp (13) on one long side. Across the 'U' extends a holding strap (14) on the other long side. There is also an intermediate bridge section (15).
