Micro-coil smaller than wire-wound coil, useful for operating micro-actuator

Micro-coil consists of at least metal structures of identical shape, each in the form of a planar open circular ring (1) with a break (2) of width b, so that the ring has adjacent first and second ends (3, 4). The rings are stacked in parallel planes, so that they are not in contact with one another and form a cylinder and each is turned rotationally symmetrically to the axis of the cylinder by the width b w.r.t. the adjacent ring(s). The middle rings are interconnected by 2 metal columns (5), one starting from the first end and the other from the second end of each ring. The columns are parallel to the axis of the cylinder and have different directions. Each column connected the first end of one ring to the second end of an adjacent ring. Also claimed is a method of making the micro-coil.
