The computer system consists of a microprocessor (CPU), a working memory (M), a system bus (SB), a local bus (LB) with a higher clock rate than the system bus. Plug connectors are associated with the system bus for the connection of memory expansion components. Additional plug connectors are associated with the local bus for connecting further memory expansion components (LBES), in which are integrated circuits for controlling each memory component and for input and output of data.
