Joiner and liner strip

A joiner for joining wound side edges of a liner strip wound helically along the inner surface of a pipe, which joiner includes a longitudinally elongated main body and a pair of engagement protuberance portions disposed on the outer surface side of both side portions of the main body portion in such a manner as to extend in a longitudinal direction and to protrude outward. A bending deforming portion so deformed as to be capable of bending in a transverse direction is formed at the center of the main body connecting the both side portions, and this bending deforming portion bends or stretches to accommodate a gap or a step defined between the wound side edges of the liner strip by its bending operation.
