<p>PURPOSE:To correct a picture element defect to the inconspicuous defect by irradiating a switching element connected to a defective picture element electrode with light energy and electrically connecting the defective picture element electrode and a signal wire. CONSTITUTION:Driving voltages are impressed to all the picture element electrodes 41 via TFTs 31 from gate bus wirings 21 and source bus wirings 23. After the picture element defect is detected, a region 61 where the source bus wiring 23 and a conductive layer 34 are superposed and a region 62 where the conductive layer 34 and a conductive piece 35 are superposed are irradiated with the light energy to electrically connect the source bus wiring 23, the conductive layer 34 and the conductive piece 35. The picture element defect is corrected to the inconspicuous defect in the state of the display device which can easily detect the picture element defect in this way.</p> |
