The pigment dispersing type resist compsn. for a liquid crystal display is prepd. by dispersing a polymer dispersing agent, a pigment deriv. dispersing agent and a pigment within the photosensitive resin compsn.. The photosensitive resin compsn. comprises : 30-80 wt.% of organic polymerising binder (A) to be prepd. by copolymerising unsatd. organic acid and unsatd. organic acid ester, w.r.t the solid parts of total resin; 0.1-50 wt.% of photosetting or thermosetting acrylate oilgomer w.r.t (A); 10-30 wt.% of multifunctional acrylate monomer w.r.t the solid parts of total resin; 0.1-15 wt.% of photopolymerising initiator and sensitizer w.r.t the solid parts of total resin; and 0.01-15 wt.% of the organic cpd. contg. epoxy gp. w.r.t the solid parts of total resin. In the formula, A is organic pigment; G is sulfonyl; carbonyl; ester gp. or phosphoryl; R1 and R2 are H, unsubstd. alkyl, substd. alkyl, cyclic alkyl, aryl or ring contg. gp., or R1 and R2 form ring; R3 is H, alkyl or alkyl amine; l is 1-4; n is 1-20; m is 1-6.
