PURPOSE: To provide a multi-conductor cable connecting device having capability of reducing swelling due to the entanglement of conductors, and preventing a damage thereto due to contact with a connector. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical conductor restriction member 210 extended in the lengthwise direction of a pressure contact connector 6 is laid between the rear side 6d thereof and one end 2a of a multi-conductor cable 2. In this case, the space where a plurality of conductors 4 moved after the recognition thereof intersect one another, is limited to a position between the cable 2 and the member 210 and, therefore, a plurality of the conductors 4 are kept in contact with the prescribed contact 8 under pressure without any intersection in space between the connector 6 and the member 210. According to this construction, the conductors 4 do not come in contact with the connector 6 during a time from the recognition thereof to a travel up to the prescribed contact, thereby ensuring the shield of the conductors 4 to be free from damages. |
