PURPOSE: To obtain a tubular body for artificial blood vessels which has the resilience and elasticity similar to the resilience and elasticity of natural blood vessels, is easily suturable to the vital tissues such as natural blood vessels at the time of implanting blood vessels, is capable of lessening the damage to the natural blood vessels according to implantation, maintains the open state of the blood vessel port over a long period, is good in formation of the vital tissues and is capable of maintaining the regeneration of tissues stably over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: This tubular body for artificial blood vessels includes conjugate fibers, more preferably joined type conjugate fibers and further preferably conjugate fibers whose constituting fibers are elastic materials of a polyethylene terephthalate and polybutyrene terephthalate. |
