PRODUCTION OF WEAKLY ACIDIC CATION-EXCHANGE RESIN

摘要

PURPOSE: To enable the simultaneous separation and analysis of monovalent and divalent cations by hydrolyzing acid anhydride groups introduced into a hydroxylated carrier. CONSTITUTION: A carrier having a particle size of 1-20μm and a hydroxyl group content of 0.01-20 milliequivalents/g is reacted with a tetracarboxylic dianhydride in a molar ratio of the acid anhydride group of the dianhydride to the hydroxyl group of the carrier of 1.1 or higher in an aprotic org. solvent to introduce the acid anhydride groups into the carrier. Then, the acid anhydride groups introduced are hydrolyzed. Thus, 1, 2-dicarboxyl structures chemically bound to the surface of the carrier are formed in a high density and prevent the separation of ion-exchange groups, thereby enabling the simultaneous separation and analysis of monovalent and divalent cations without requiring an eluant contg. a special reagent such as pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid.
