摘要 PURPOSE: To enhance a chip inductor in mass-productivity and impedance characteristics by a method wherein a wound core and a sheath are burned, then cut in a prescribed length, and formed into chip inductor main bodies, and outer electrodes are formed at the ends of the chip inductor as connected to conductors exposed at the ends of the inductor main body. CONSTITUTION: Magnetic material powder B and binder S are kneaded well into kneaded material 6, and the kneaded material 6 is extrusion-molded into a winding core 8 through a primary extrusion molder 7. A conductor 10 is wound like a coil around the wound core 8, and then the core 8 which the conductor 10 is wound around like a coil is covered with a sheath through a secondary extrusion molder 11 of a kneader 12. The wound core 8 and the sheath are burned, then cut in prescribed length, and split into chip inductor main bodies 13, and outer electrodes are formed at the ends of the chip-type inductor main body 13 as connected to the conductors 10 exposed at the ends of the inductor main body 13. By this setup, a chip inductor of this constitution is suitable for mass-production and enhanced in impedance characteristics.
