PURPOSE: To provide a compact wherein a cosmetic article can be sealed under an airtight condition, and especially the opening/closing of its opening is facilitated by a lever operation. CONSTITUTION: For a compact, a body container 1 and lid 6 are pivotally fixed with a pin 7 at the rear part. The lid 6 has an elastic body 8 on the ceiling part, and the body container 1 has a hook piece 5 on the front lower surface. Then, on the front part of the lid 6, the upper end of an engaging member 9 which can be engaged with the hook piece 5 is pivotally fixed so as to be rotatable. In addition, a lever 14 is put in a hole 10 which is provided on the engaging member 9, and the lower end of the lever 14 is projected on the front surface of the engaging member 9. Also, the lever 14 has a structure wherein the upper end is pivotally fixed to the engaging member 9 so as to be rotatable. |
