PURPOSE: To obtain a component mounting apparatus by which an image, on a component, acquired at a component feed part is taken into and by which the time of a component mounting operation is shortened. CONSTITUTION: A rotating body 28 is installed at the lower part of a head base part 26a for a mounting head 26, and suction and mounting nozzles 29, 29 are installed at tip parts of the rotating body 28. Illumination light sources 30 are installed at halfway parts of the respective suction and mounting nozzles 29. An imaging device 27 which is composed of a line sensor 31, of a lens system 32 and of a mirror 33 is installed integrally at the side part of the mounting head 26. Cut images which are slender in the X-axis direction of a component are taken into continuously at prescribed intervals by the line sensor 31 in halfway parts in which the suction and mounting nozzles 29 which have acquired the component are being turned and moved in the direction of an arrow (a), and a vision controller detects the position of the component on the basis of data on the images. |
