摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for identifying an object to be a dangerous object to a vehicle traveling in a first lane from an object traveling in a second lane adjacent to it, which is not a dangerous object to the vehicle. SOLUTION: An antenna fixed to be flat with respect to the side face of the vehicle and generating a radar beam with a beam width larger than 5 to 10 degrees irradiating an object is used. At least a part of the radar beam is generated along a first axis 20 vertical to the moving direction of the vehicle. A reflected signal is received from the object and the value of this object is estimated by Kalman filter concerning the speed of the vehicle in the direction of a second axis (x) in parallel with the moving direction of the vehicle. When the sum of the measured vehicle speed and the estimated speed of the parallel object is larger than a previously fixed threshold value, the object is dangerous.</p>
