摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium excellent in magnetic characteristics such as coercive force, adaptable to a high density recording and excellent in durability. CONSTITUTION: An NiP plating film 2 is formed on a carbon substrate 1 by electroless plating, the thickness of the NiP plating film 2 is controlled to 0.01-1μm and a metallic thin film type magnetic film is formed on the NiP plating film of 0.01-1μm thickness to produce the objective magnetic recording medium.
