PURPOSE: To suppress the warpage deformation of a plasma cell side substrate of a plasma address display device. CONSTITUTION: This plasma address display device has a flat panel structure formed by superposing a display cell 1 and a plasma cell 2. This display cell 1 consists of an intermediate substrate 3, an upper substrate 4 provided with column-form display electrodes 5 and liquid crystals 7 held in specing between both. This plasma cell 2 consists of a lower substrate 8 joined to the intermediate substrate 3 and row-form disharge channels 12 formed in the spacing between both. These discharge channels 12 are composed of row-form disharge electrodes 9 formed by printing on the lower substrate 8 and baking it and partition walls 10 likewise formed by printing thereon and baking it. Buffer films 13 are interposed as the ground surfaces for the discharge electrodes 9 to absorb the stresses generated between the discharge electrodes 9 and the lower substrate 8. While these buffer films 13 consist of sintered compacts of first glass paste formed by printing and baking in a row form, the partition walls 10 consists of the sintered compacts of second glass paste likewise formed by printing and baking in a row form. The softening point of the first glass paste is set higher than the softening point of the second glass paste. |
