PREVENTING DEVICE OF CONSUMPTION OF BATTERY OF RADIO EQUIPMENT IN AUTOMATIC METER-READING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To obtain a preventing device of consumption of a battery of radio equipment in an automatic meter-reading system which prevents useless consumption of the battery. CONSTITUTION: By connecting a first switch 8a to the contact (a) side and a second switch 8b to the contact (b) side, a radio equipment master unit 6 is set in a standby state and an intermittent carrier sense operation is stopped. In the case when the radio equipment master unit 6 set and left in this state is installed and operated, connection terminals A1 and A2 of an interface connection part of the radio equipment master unit 6 are short-circuited or connected reversely as shown by solid lines and thereby a received input signal is changed to a ground level. It is discriminated on the basis of this change that the unit is installed for a user, and the intermittent carrier sense operation is started.
