PURPOSE: To make a thread cutter into a module by reducing the number of parts and to attain the miniaturization, simplification and cost reduction of the thread cutter by cutting thread by directly driving a thread cutting means using a piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric element 2 is a so-called laminated piezoelectric element, and it is displaced in a height direction by applying a voltage. Such displacement quantity is expanded by a displacement enlarging mechanism part 6 and arms 10. 12, and needle thread 20 and bobbin thread 22 can be cut by moving slidably a movable blade 14 and a movable blade 16 confronting with each other and holding the needle thread 20 and the bobbin thread 22 therebetween. |
