摘要 PURPOSE: To attain special reproduction of a stored image by selecting the compression coding by the storage coding system. CONSTITUTION: An image coding circuit 22a is provided with a communication coding circuit in compliance with the ITU-T recommendations H.261, a storage coding circuit in compliance with the MPEG.When a storage notice control section 44 of an image receiver side terminal equipment stores a received image to an image storage device 23, the control section 44 sends control information used to report the storage of the received image to an image sender side terminal equipment in advance. Upon the detection of control information used to report storage of a received image from the image receiver side terminal equipment, a reception control information recognition section 42 of the image sender side terminal equipment gives the instruction of selection of the storage coding circuit to the image coding circuit 22a. The coding circuit 22a uses the storage coding circuit to code the image information in response to the control signal from the image storage device 13 in the mode where the image information coded by its own terminal equipment is stored in the image storage device 23. Otherwise, the communication coding circuit may inserts an in-frame coding frame in place of the selection of the storage coding circuit.
