PURPOSE: To obtain a drum type scanner in which a printed original is adhered onto a transparent drum similarly even in the case of a low magnification or a high magnification and the trouble of adhesion is simplified. CONSTITUTION: This scanner is made up of a rotation vertical moving means moving a transparent drum 1 vertically while rotating the drum, and a water tank section 3 provided with a container section 4 for transparent liquid, a transparent drum insert port 9, a light emitting section 5 and a light receiving section 6 for reading image information. After a print original 2 is adhered to the transparent drum 1, the transparent drum 1 is descended and intruded into the transparent liquid container section 4 and when the printed original 2 is rotated while being immersed into the transparent liquid of the container section, the light emitting section 5 lights the printed original 2 from its rear side and the light receiving section 6 measures the transmitted luminous quantity to read the image information. |
