PURPOSE: To provide a cordless telephone system for preventing a failure that both operator of a main body and operator of a cordless telephone can not originate a call to a target called party when the operator of the main body and the operator of the cordless telephone approximately simultaneously perform a line capturing operation. CONSTITUTION: The main body 101 is provided with a monitoring part 110 for monitoring the line capturing request, dialing request and line opening request of the cordless telephone and the cordless telephone is provided with the monitoring part 110 for monitoring the line capturing request, dialing request and line opening request of the main body 101. When dialing is already performed from the cordless telephone, the control part 104 of the main body 101 does not execute the dialing request from the main body 101 and continues a line capturing state. When the dialing is already performed from the main body 101, the main control part of the cordless telephone does not transmit dial signals and continues line capturing.
