MICRO-CELLULAR IMPREGNATED COMPOSITE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To obtain a micro-cellular impregnated composite which can contain with good retentivity a functional material that is liquid or solid at room temperature and which is improved in the sustained release properties of the functional material. CONSTITUTION: This composite is produced by incorporating a functional material that is liquid or solid at room temperature into a microporous material obtained by mixing a crystalline thermoplastic, such as an olefinic thermoplastic, with a low-molecular material and then removing the low-molecular material and consisting of a three-dimensional continuous meshed skeleton of an average diameter of at most 10μm with the cells of an average diameter of at most 100μm.
