PURPOSE: To obtain a composition capable of preventing free iodine from producing by itself and extremely effectively preventing an iron-based material for an absorption type heat pump from corroding. CONSTITUTION: This aqueous solution composition for an absorption type heat pump constituted of an iron-based material such as carbon steel or stainless steel as a constituent material is obtained by adding sulfur or sodium sulfide as a reducing agent to an aqueous solution composition containing an iodide or the iodide and a nitrate as absorbent components. Thereby, a self potential (Esp ) is kept baser to increase a difference from a crevice corrosion potential (VC. CRE) in the case of adding Na2 S thereto and a safer environment for the iron-based material is provided. Not only the self potential is made baser with time to enhance the safety but also excellent anticorrosive effects extending over a long period are obtained by supply actions thereof in the case of adding S thereto. |
