PURPOSE: To allow a cover tape to have a gas barrier property and chemical resistance so as not to peel from the joints of wallpaper with decrease in adhesive strength, to enable the tape to cover the joints while changing the look of the wallpaper surface little, and to allow the tape to show an antibacterial property. CONSTITUTION: A PET layer about 30 to 50μm thick is used as a tape base, and an antibacterial resin layer about 2 to 20μm thick is laid over the surface of the PET layer. The antibacterial resin layer is obtained woven a silvery antibacterial agent composed of an inorganic compound such as zeolite or zirconium phosphate that is made to support silver ions is blended in a clear resin such as two-liquid-setting type urethane resin. A transparent adhesive layer is laid over the back of the PET layer, and mold releasing paper is bonded to the adhesive layer.
