PURPOSE: To attain the cost reduction and the miniaturization of an optical head by reducing the adjusting works among optical parts at the time of assembling the optical head and imparting a beam splitter function and an astigmatism generating function to the optical head. CONSTITUTION: A beam 4 emitted from a laser diode chip 31 is reflected on the inclined surface 27a of a triangular prism 27 and also beam 4 made incident on the triangular prism 27 via the inclined surface 27a is detected by a PIN diode 25. Thus, the irradiation with the beam 4 and the detection of the incident beam 4 are performed in integrated optical parts and also the triangular prism 27 has the astigmatism generating function in addition to the beam splitter function. |
