<p>PURPOSE: To simplify a system and to attain high efficiency by using a usual tracking in common use with a framing operation with a synchronizing signal in the reproduction state. CONSTITUTION: Data recorded on a magnetic tape 1 are read by a magnetic head 2, amplified by an amplifier 3, and the amplified signal is fed to an ATF error generating circuit 4 and a segment detection circuit 5. The segment detection circuit 5 detects a segment number of a track recorded on the magnetic tape 1 and gives it to a system/servo microcomputer 6. The system/servo microcomputer 6 provides select signals SEL1,SEL2 to an ATF error generating circuit 4 based on the received segment number. Furthermore, the system/servo microcomputer 6 applies phase control to a capstan servo based on the obtained ATF error and shifts the point up to a segment number 0 through frame synchronization and tracking operation.</p> |
