<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the highly reliable body detector, which accurately discriminates the position where a human body or the like is moved and stopped all the time, by excluding the effect of the background of a stationary infrared ray source body other than the human body or the like after the infrared-ray source body such as the human body or the like is moved and stopped. CONSTITUTION: An infrared ray detecting means 2 divides an infrared-ray detecting area into a plurality of mutually separated light condensing regions 3. The turning of the divided detecting regions are controlled with a driving/controlling means 10. Based on the result of the control, a moving human body position inference means 23 discriminates the position, where a human body or the like is moved and stopped when the detecting area is not turned. When the detecting area is turned, a stationary human body position inference means 24 excludes the effect of the background of the stationary infrared ray source body other than the human body or the like and discriminates the position, where the human body or the like is moved and stopped. A movement-sum-stop AND means 25 determines the position, where the human body or the like is moved and stopped, based on the AND of the discriminated result of the stationary human body position inference means 24 and the discriminated result of the moving-human-body inference means 23.</p> |
