PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber composition for molding a sealing material consisting essentially of an ethylene-propylene-based copolymer rubber as a principal component without deteriorating the flexibility at low temperatures or compression set at high temperatures and capable of providing a strength required for the sealing material. CONSTITUTION: This rubber composition for molding a sealing material comprises a blend of about 95-50wt.% ethylene-propylene-based copolymer rubber with about 5-50wt.% polyolefin-based resin prepared by carrying out the graft copolymerization of anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride thereon.
